A different sort of portrait. These guys hands are as distinctive as their music.

Pencil. Original size: 9"x12".

Yep, and his hands look like mine, also! But just the fretting hand. Buddy Guy told
someone once that when he was in a long studio session or just jammin too long he
would get bruises under his calouses. Everyone does and, man, they hurt. He said
he started using Super Glue on his fingers for, kind of, and instan calouse when that
happened. He got the idea from Stevie Ray Vaughn! I have been doing that for years
and it helps in a pinch but your skin won`t stand too much of it!

That's great. I'd heard about Stevie and the super glue, but I hadn't realized he'd started a trend. :)

I would never have really considered hands as a portrait, but the way you portrayed them here, has swayed my thinking :XD: Great job, I love all the little details you included :)

Wowwww! I...love...this. Someday I'll be as good with shading as you are. <3 SRV's awesome, and the idea of doing a portrait of hands is really neat....

Sorry I can't give "advanced" critique. =D Favorited... :sushi:

Thanks so much!

Very different type of portait, but it tells you a lot about the subject.

Have you ever watched his hands as he plays? its like they move by themselves and he dosent have to think about it...

As for the actual artwork, the hand detail is amazing and i love how you did the grain on the guitar. Very nice work :D
